500 Words competition

posted 24 Jan 2020, 07:58 by Richard Hanks
In Juniors assembly this week, Mr Hanks encouraged the children to enter the annual 500 Words competition organised by BBC Radio 2. We hope you will support your child to take part.

Children should write a story in 500 words or less. It can be any subject, genre or theme. It must be their own work.

The stories will be judged on:
  • Originality
  • Plot
  • Characters
  • Language
  • Enjoyment
Closing date is 27th February 2020.

Please submit the story yourself but also give a copy to Mr Hanks (via a class teacher if this is easier) so we can celebrate and share them in school.
