Austerfield

posted 23 Jul 2014, 03:12 by Kathryn Davis
They Y3s had an excellent time in Austerfield and were a credit to the school. They were well behaved, listened well, went to sleep at lights out and learned a lot! They learned about different types of rocks and did some experiments. They then went out into the local nature reserve and quarry to explore the different rocks and soils. They especially enjoyed smashing the sandstone! In the evening they were treated to a star gazing talk and Mr Goodwin's class saw Saturn! The second day included orienteering and a trip to the animal house to meet the African snail, a snake, a millipede and a tarantula. They returned very sleepy but happy!
