Fairtrade Breakfast Cafe

At the end of last term we were busy across school celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight. During the fortnight the children were learning and thinking about their connections with the wider world and how Fairtrade can help to make a difference to some of the world’s poorest people.

As Martin Luther King famously said, ‘before you finish eating breakfast in the morning, you’ve depended on more than half the world’.

With this in mind some of our Year 3 and 4 classes were busy baking Fairtrade breakfast muffins - banana and choclolate, yum! All ready for our special Fairtrade Breakfast café. Thanks to all of the families who came we managed to raise £70 in just one morning for the Fairtrade Foundation! Have a look at our busy bakers and Fairtrade Breakfast café visitors...
