Leaf Hammering!

posted 18 Jun 2014, 07:08 by Kathryn Davis
Y3 were very lucky to have a visit from Clara's mum, Janet. She taught us all about trees and leaves and how important they are. The children choose a picture of an animal and a leaf and drew the animal on a piece of white material. Then they placed their leaf where they wanted it to go, folded the material in half and hammered the leaf. The chlorophyll from the leaf came out as a pattern on the material. The children were very sensible using the hammers and very proud of their results!
