Children enjoyed an action packed day of maths activities at school today (3rd April). To enhance the pupils' love of maths, teachers designed exciting activities, based around real life situations that would allow the children to be challenged and excited.
Across school it was possible to see children: weighing out quantities for making pizzas, using metre sticks for measuring distances jumped, designing games for other pupils with complex scoring systems, using the school grounds to measure and calculate large distances, representing data using bar charts to compare the climate of England and Jamaica and lots lots more.
