Every week the KS2 children receive specialist drama teaching as part of PPA.  The children perform plays as part of assemblies and concerts and for special events, as well as our summer musical. Each year Y6 produce a play for the whole school to watch on World Book Day.  The children who performed the musical Matilda demonstrated to us just how skilled they have become in their 4th year of drama lessons.  We were treated to a stunning performance that held each audience spellbound. Each scene was played by different actors so that many children had significant roles. All were able to show their talents and interests as there was opportunity for song, dance, gymnastics and acting.  All the children danced and sang to link parts of the story and it was awesome! So much so, that Mrs. Hopkinson suggested inviting the parents in to see Matilda.  Thank you Y6, Mrs. Warburton and staff - that was a performance I shall treasure for a long time!
