We have been very fortunate this year to host 2 modern language students at Dore.  Aurelie Noirot who is French spent the whole academic year with us funded by a Comenius project. She worked alongside Mrs. Atkinson so that each week during class teacher Planning, Preparation and Assessment time classes studied modern languages with the additional support and opportunity that having a first language speaker brings. Aurelie was also able to link us with her local school and Y5 were able to exchange postcards and messages.  Hannah Bickmeyer came on an Erasmus scholarship as an additional experience as part of her German University course as she trains to be a teacher. Hannah spent 4 months with us and spent time in each year group. Hannah introduced her German culture and school experience along with topic words in German in the classes she visited.  Both of our students were brilliant staff members and contributed MUCH to the whole life of the school.  If you came along to International Evening you will have seen the results of their Language Club with super work from the children. Aurelie and Hannah also sported many events and came along as group leaders on the Y6 residential to Stratford.  It has been a pleasure and a privilege to host them both at Dore and we wish them well in their future careers.  THANK YOU Aurelie and Hannah! :) See the pictures below - a lunch at Chatsworth as a thank you :)
