The Y5 'Anyone for Tea' theme is a marvellous cross curricular learning opportunity which combines many different subjects and skills.  The Y5s learn about some aspects of life in India and focus on the village of Chembakoli.  We could see just how much the children have enjoyed the study and the full range of their learning and skill in the year group assembly which was performed to a very large group of parents as well as for the school.  We saw marvellous drama and dance, heard about fairtrade and the tea trade. It was GREAT!

"We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the Y5 assembly. It was so vibrant, fun and informative. It was obvious to the audience how much the children loved this topic.

The way that drama, geography, debate, dance, maths etc was all incorporated, was wonderful. The confidence of the speakers was amazing.

The work that the teachers had put into this assembly was very obvious. Also a great way to raise funds for Action Aid with the baking the children had done.

A big thank you to all staff and teachers for making it such an enjoyable afternoon."
