Two of our Dore Democrats attended a Nick Clegg Public meeting in a surgery held in a local church.  They had written letters explaining that some people have applied to make part of our school field, which includes our great wildlife garden and woodland, into a village green.  The girls explained how much time, effort and money children and their parents have put into all the work in our school grounds and how shocked they are that some of this area may be taken away. They told Nick Clegg that we are an Eco Green Flag School and also that children learn outside the classrooms in the school grounds - especially in the areas that may be made into a village green. The children, staff and parents want to keep the school land for Dore Primary School children so that they may learn, exercise and play safely in the grounds they have developed for this purpose. The girls also met Colin Ross our local councillor.
