Our Fantastic Fairtraders introduced our One World Week with a superb drama showing how buying Fairtrade bananas can help farmers to have a fair wage and can also help their communities to have access to education, clean water and food. One World Week falls within Fairtrade Fortnight and we have many exciting events happening throughout the week to enable children to think about themselves as global citizens and to compare their lives with others across the globe.

This year's focus is food which links to UNICEF Day for Change to be held on Friday. The KS2 Fairtrade Cafes will be happening throughout the week and children are entering a competition to design a Fairtrade cook book front cover and blurb. The prize is a Fairtrade Easter Egg for the best entry in KS1 and KS2. Do you want to get involved? You could bake some Fairtrade goodies to be sold at the Fairtrade Cafes or enter your favourite Fairtrade recipe for our Fairtrade cook book.
