A group of very excited Y4 and Y5 children went into the city to attend the Sheffield Children's Book Awards. Last year all these children read all the books on the shortlist, voted for their favourite and today was the chance to meet some of the authors. Then the Y4s returned to school but the Y5s stayed in town to eat their lunch before travelling to Ecclesall library to meet the rest of our class to borrow books and meet the author Janet Foxley who wrote 'Muncle Trogg' one of this year's shortlisted books.

A HUGE thank you to all the parents who helped with this trip, it was great to have you there!
