Mr Cornelius and I today went with ten very excited members of the girls' football squad to the Sheffield United Academy to take part in a tournament with schools from across the city. The girls were fabulous, encouraging each other and showing great sporting behaviour. There were goals, tackles, injuries, wonderful saves and at last we were through to  the semi-finals but were knocked out, with the two Finalists being the only teams who had beaten us.
Then we met Kesai Lipka, of the Doncaster Belles and England, to round off a wonderful day. A HUGE thank you to the parents and families of the squad who had clearly spent lots of time at half-term helping the girls improve their skill and as always thank you to the parents who were able to give lifts to and from as well as stay to support - you were wonderful too!
