Zak the Zebra joined us today to promote our "20 is PLENTY around the Schools" campaign. She was very impressed with the knowledge of Road Safety amongst Dore pupils! Many thanks to the BRAKE charity for Zak and to Kirsty from The Oakes for giving him a canter today! :)  Y6 children and some of our Dore Democrats joined Zak in the community to raise awareness about our campaign for drivers to slow down to 20 m.p.h on Dore roads, especially those close to the schools and nurseries.  We are very appreciative of all our parents who have signed a voluntary pledge to keep to "20 is PLENTY in our town".  Today we put posters and a letter in many of our neighbours' letterboxes and up in the local shops!  MANY, many thanks to our local shopkeepers who were all happy to put up the campaign posters!  Let's hope that TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE :)
