One World Celebration Evening

posted 6 Nov 2015, 04:07 by Kathryn Davis
One World Week was a great success, with children learning all about their class country. They have their own 'Passport to the World' where they have created their own passport page. The children found out where their county is on a world map, and discovered interesting information, such as the language, population, food and famous landmarks. Classes also looked at the Global Goals, a set of 17 sustainable development goals created by world leaders to make the world a fairer and better place to live in.

To celebrate this work, we held our One World Celebration Evening. We enjoyed delicious food from Thailand, Italy, France and many more countries. The Golden Globe Team worked hard to produce a quiz for the evening. We were entertained by an Italian song, a Jamaican dance, the Brazilian samba and some interesting food tasting from Russia. Thank you to all staff, children and parents who contributed. It was a really enjoyable evening. Please click here to see some videos of the children's work:
