It is the first year of the Sheffield Schools' Orienteering League run by South Yorkshire Orienteering and thanks to a very tiny team of orienteerers Dore Primary School are Champions!  Rachel, Claire and Will have been very loyal competitors all year and were successful in the League and the City Championships.  We have been joined by a few other team members along the way who have contributed points too but as in the cross country regular races are needed to feature in the top of the tables.  We are now proud champions in League and City for the Y5 and Y6 girls individual and team winners and Will is 2nd individual in League and City. CONGRATULATIONS and thank you to these three who have put Dore at the top this year!  Thank you also to all children who have come along for a race or two.  We hope to field a bigger team for every race next year.  Many, many thanks to our parents who support and encourage! It is a great FAMILY event as each competition runs a variety of courses and the whole family can take part - children must run alone in the schools event to count but then can tackle the harder courses with older siblings or parents ..... and it is great fun!
