In December, Year 4 children took part in the Premier League Writing Stars challenge to create a poem on the theme of diversity.

We are very proud to be able to tell you that Thomas P was selected as a highly commended winner from a selection of 25,000 poems.

All of the Year 4s poems were excellent and as a result we received a Premier League Book Bag full of poetry and other books that we will definitely make use of next term!

Well done Tom and all of Y4.

Tom's poem is on the right and you can read the winning entries on the Premier League Writing Stars website.

It doesn’t matter if you’re black or white,
Or if your eyes are blue.
It’s what’s on the inside that counts,
Your personality makes up you.

Different is important,
Respect should be shown.
You should be treated equally,
No matter what you own.
