Our Year Group Assembly – 5th March 2014

Reporter: Sarah Y4L/D

Last year Y4 did about  Ancient Greeks. So this year we thought it would be nice to do something different and called our assembly ‘Read All About It’. In our assembly to start off with we did a song related to Vincent Van Gogh who shot himself and died 2 days later. Then our news reporters took over and talked about 4 children named Susan, Lucy, Edmund and Peter who say they have discovered a land called Narnia in a wardrobe. We moved on to Science. In Science we did a report on ‘Keeping Things Warm’. After that we did about art and in art everyone learned about Vincent Van Gogh and Starry Night. Following on from that we had adverts, a few of the children showed their adverts of a Maxi-Flow radiator, cat blanket and snuggly shoes. Next the y4s did inventing , the weather forecast, Finn’s ski-ing blog and finally poetry. The children loved it! We hope the parents did, too!
