Many, many thanks to the families who welcomed people to school last week whilst giving gentle reminders about the need to park carefully, if possible at a distance from school so that 'Park and Stride' is practised and entrances are kept clear to improve vision and showing consideration for our neighbours.  They also advertised the kind offers from the local pubs to use their car parks at these busy drop off and pick up times to avoid congestion.  Thanks also go to Jack and Elizabeth our Road Safety Officers who wrote a smashing letter which detailed this and who designed the posters which were given out last week.  We are also indebted to Tracey Evans our very strong traffic crossing lady who does this caring job for our community so well.  THANK YOU!  As you know, we now have official signage which clearly prohibits stopping on the 3 sets of yellow zig-zags at the 3 main entrances to the grounds. The local community police officer has been in touch to say that these entrances are now being officially patrolled at random times in order to ensure that members of the public are adhering to the restrictions or penalties will incur.  Finally many thanks to our Road Safety Group who were commissioned by the School Change Team to support the school in improving Road Safety around our patch.
A great picture showing the reflectors given out in Road Safety Week in November 2013
