Rocket Scientists in Y5

Dore Primary School are one of many lucky schools taking part in the Rocket Science project with the The RHS Campaign for School Gardening and UK Space Agency.

Y5 pupils will be learning directly how science in space contributes to our knowledge of life on earth.

On Tuesday we planted 200 Rocket seeds. Half of them have spent six months on board the International Space Station with British European Space Agency astronaut Tim Peake and 100 seeds that have remained on Earth. We will be taking a number of specific measurements during a 35 day growing period and recording these on our Rocket Science wall chart.

We'll keep you posted about the progress on the Y5 Learning Jounery.
