To day was the perfect day to be in Stratford! Warm sun and mostly out of doors.  We started the day with 2 superb workshops led by members of the RSC.  The drama was based on A Midsummer Night's Dream and the children worked together to build up brilliant cameos of the play.  Everybody was well engaged and the time sped by. Check out our great photos.  We were not surprised to hear that our boat trip was cancelled because of the swollen River Avon.  The water is so high today that the boats could not pass through through the bridge arches but it did give us the opportunity to have a good picnic and a chance to run around around and have an ice-cream.  We had an enthralling visit to the butterfly farm enjoying the vibrant and delicate butterflies and some even had a chance to handle a tarantula.  We finished the afternoon in the Stratford adventure park which was great fun.  Back to the youth hostel for a scrumptious tea followed by a quick dash back into Stratford for the Town Walk with thrilling stories.  As always talented story-tellers who kept us all on our toes.
Even after this long and busy day most children had the energy for a quick game of cops and robbers before story, drinking chocolate and BED!  Good sleeping again tonight I am sure :)  It is a good forecast for Warwick Castle tomorrow :)
