Scooter Training

In early September we were able to offer all Y2 and Y3 children a scooter workshop with our Travel Award SCC link officer.  This was a great opportunity to remind these young riders of essential road and safety tips as well as putting them through their paces in control of the scooter!  These sessions were enjoyed by all and in future we will build these into the Y2 GUS (Growing Up Skills) curriculum each September.  Sadly the funding streams for the Sheffield Travel Award have now stopped and this very valuable work and audit ceases from July 2014. We were the first Primary School to achieve the Gold Award in 2011 and have regained at this level ever since.  We will continue to give a very high profile to keeping ourselves safe in GUS and continue our strong work in raising awareness about Road Safety in school and in the local community.
