Send my Friend to School

posted 20 Jul 2016, 07:24 by Kathryn Davis
Once again, pupils at Dore have taken part in the Send my Friend to School campaign. This year we looked at children all over the world who are unable to go to school because of a crisis. This could be a natural disaster, war or something else. There are 37 million children missing out on school. We thought about what we would do if we had to leave our home suddenly. If we could pack a rucksack, what might we take with us? The children thought of some really sensible things like a sleeping bag, a tent and some for comfort such as a teddy bear. They created their own rucksacks with messages for world leaders and these will be sent to our MP, Nick Clegg.
