This term we have been fortunate to be able to run 2 SING UP projects with our singing teacher from Sheffield Cathedral, Nick Cox.  Working with Sheffield Music Hub and Y6 B and Miss Birch, Nick led the class teaching them 7 songs linked to the Yorkshire Stage of the Tour de France - 5 of the songs specially commissioned for the Singing Festival held at High Storrs school. This was a brilliant concert with 3 schools joining together to celebrate this great sporting event. See the NEWS story here.   You can see photos of the class performing in school below. Thanks also go to Mr. Alex Hayward-Browne who supports our Sing Up choirs ins school.

Our SING UP choir which meets weekly performed 4 songs at the citywide launch of the new Sheffield SACRE new RE scheme of work which was held at Sheffield Hallam University.  This SING UP choir learnt four spiritual songs to celebrate the birth of this exciting new scheme for RE in the city. Dore Primary has been a Lead school in this work for the city and we are looking forward to using the new and exciting plans - 'Enquiring Minds and Open Hearts' from September 2014.
