TEAM Dore are part of the Sheffield Young Faith Investigators Group. We were selected as one of four schools to take part in collaboration to work through some of the BIG questions in the NEW SACRE RE syllabus for schools - "Enquiring MInds and Open Hearts."  4 children - Isobel Quili, Yasir Alnaemi, Louis Bird and Max Rayner were fantastic ambassadors at the meetings and a much larger group met regularly in school with Mrs. Hope-Gill and Mr. Percy taking part in Philosophy Circles to discuss the BIG questions.  They also composed a song based on their work this year.  Our children did a presentation about SYFIG at the Termly SACRE meeting in July 2015.

Dore Primary School is a lead school for RE and and we have been involved in producing the new syllabus and the new Collective Worship Policy for Sheffield Schools - "Be Still and Share with Open Hearts."  Many thanks to all the children who have taken part in SYFIG and to Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Hope-Gill who have joined me in working with the Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE.)
