On 1st July we went for a jaunt in the Moor Markets and guess what we found?.... Only world renowned artist Paul Trevillion and his sketch pad! He was there to launch an exhibition of the winners and runners up of the Youdan Trophy Art Competition. The children were asked to create a drawing or painting to display Sheffield's footballing heritage.
From 100 entries Emma won first prize which means that her work will be on display for a year in the Football Museum in Manchester. In addition to this her class get to go to the museum and have an art masterclass with Paul Trevillion and will also get to look around the museum too.
It was a great day for Dore Primary School to have so many of our children shortlisted in such an important competition. Pop along to The Moor Markets during July and August to see the "Football's Coming Home" exhibition to see why they are worthy winners!
