UNICEF Day for Change = Crazy Hair!

posted 14 Feb 2014, 08:51 by Kathryn Davis
Last week children came to school with crazy hair to raise money for UNICEF. In our lessons we learned about Angita, from Madagascar and how UNICEF had helped her village. When a cyclone struck the village and destroyed the school, UNICEF stepped in with an emergency school tent whilst they built them a new school. We raised a fantastic £268.05 which will pay for a 'school in a box' and more. A 'school in a box' is quite literally what it says. The box is filled with resources that are needed for a classroom and the lid can be painted to transform it into a blackboard. Thank you to everyone (including staff) who made a great effort with their hair and raised lots of money.
