Volunteer Librarian Role

Volunteer Librarian Role - Tuesday and/or Thursday afternoons 1 – 3pm

Would you like to help support children when they visit the Dore Primary School Junior Library?

We would like to make better use of our well-stocked library, encouraging children to read and share books and we need some help!

From January 2018, each class in the juniors (Year 3 to Year 6) would like to be able to send small groups to the library to:
  • Return books
  • Choose new ones
  • Register their choices on our simple library system
  • Discuss and share their reading
It would be the Librarian’s role to support the children with this and help keep the library organised.

It is a rewarding position and would really help children make the most of their time in school.
Please let the school office know if and when you could help out.

Pop in and see Mr Hanks if you want to discuss the opportunity further.

Many thanks,

Richard Hanks
