World Book Day 2015

posted 5 Mar 2015, 09:29 by Laura Guiton
Every year we celebrate World Book Day along with 100 countries around the world. This is our opportunity to celebrate books, reading, authors and illustrators. Everyone is encouraged to dress up as a favourite book character and also share their favourite book with the rest of the class. How many book characters can you spot in the photos below?

 ESIO TROT

Robin Hood

Katie Morag

Teachers love dressing up as characters from books too!

This year every Key Stage 2 child read with a child from KS1. Many KS2 children shared their favourite book from when they were in infants.

This day is one of the highlights of our year and Mrs Warburton works with Y6 to perform drama for the school. This year we were treated to Matilda by Roald Dahl. All 64 Year 6 children performed a scene re-telling this well known book. Can you spot Miss Trunchbull or Matilda in the photos below?
