Writing Club

posted 15 May 2018, 23:56 by Richard Hanks
Following two successful taster sessions Writing Club is offering a series of six sessions in the next half term, on Thursdays 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th June and 5th, 12th July.

Writing Club gives children the opportunity to experiment with writing in a supportive and creative atmosphere with the guidance of an experienced, trained (and DBS-checked) writing facilitator outside of the demands of the National Curriculum.

That’s me! I’m Rosie Carnall and I’ve got over twenty years’ experience of working with children and young people in schools and elsewhere. I’ve got an MA in Creative Writing and I’m also a freelance Creative Facilitator with Grimm & Co, an Arts Council National Portfolio organisation in Rotherham.

The sessions will run in the school library from 3.20pm – 4.20pm. Children can then be collected from main reception at 4.25pm (or drop off at Kids Club can be arranged).

The cost will be £36 for the half term, which is payable in advance. Unfortunately we cannot arrange refunds for missed sessions.  You can pay by cash or a cheque (payable to R Carnall) to the school office in an envelope marked Writing Club.
Please complete and return the permission slip with your payment to the school office.
