Y2 at Magna!

posted 26 Nov 2013, 09:33 by Heather Wyatt
On Tuesday 25th November all of Y2 went on a trip to Magna for the day! We were so excited to visit the former site of such a huge steel-works, and to get on with some scientific exploring and learning while we were there. We enjoyed a session called 'The Kitchen Sink' where we got to learn about many interesting and exciting experiements that we can do at home and in school. We then had lots of explore time around Magna. Y2W/N had a great time in the fire pavilion watching the fire tornado and watching metal being forged. Y2A really enjoyed the Earth pavilion, learning how to work an excavation system and manage the machinery involved. We had fun using our forces: swinging, balancing, climbing and spinning in the Sci-Tek adventure playground. The Big Melt certainly impressed many of us too! Thank you to all parent helpers who came with us - we couldn't do these trips without you, and thank you to all of the Y2s for their fantastic behaviour and learning attitudes.
