Y3 visit to Chatsworth

Y3 had a fantastic time today, exploring the grounds of Chatsworth. We were blessed with superb weather and didn't need our raincoats at all! Both classes went on a woodland discovery trail where we searched for exciting things to go in our collection bags, including twigs, leaves, rocks and all sorts! We made nests and homes for birds and animals in the woods out of twigs and leaves. We planted some wild flowers after preparing the soil and creating a suitable area. We had a picnic lunch and explored the gardens. We really enjoyed the coal tunnel (although it was quite dark and spooky!) and getting lost in the maze. Thank you to all the parents who were able to come and help us today.
