Some Y4H are stars on the main News page for Dore's NSPCC Maths day, we took lots more photos that I wanted to share. We packed a lot in.

We started off making two types of Times Table Stars and Greek Crosses and Squares. Some went onto the children's hats, others saved for our Christmas tree kindly donated by our cleaner. Thanks Lynn!

We then explored the Greek number system, which uses the same symbols as their alphabet. So children could work out, not only what there name would be in Ancient Greek, but also the numeric value.

In the afternoon, the use of language continued, Mrs Atkinson helped the children different french values and numbers.

It was a great day, the children's hats ended up covered in the results of their numeracy. They were rightly proud to wear them home.
