Y5 Sports Festival at King Ecgbert School

The whole year group went down to King Ecgbert school to take part in the sports festival with other primary schools in our family. As usual the afternoon was great fun and we all enjoyed meeting new friends and trying new activities. There were team games and individual skill games so we all had a go came back feeling we'd had a wonderful time. We combined it with the whole school effort to walk from Lands End to John O'Groats as part of Sport Relief on Friday so we measured the distance there and back (just be accurate!). It's further than we'd thought and as there were 68 of us in total, we have made a substantial contribution to the total!

The Sixth Form pupils, many of whom are former Dore pupils, were brilliant. Their professionalism meant every child felt they could have a go at everything. The Y5s were also a credit to themselves and the school, encouraging each other and making new friends with children from other schools as well as meeting up with existing friends. Well done everyone!
