It was great to hear what a good day the Sheffield group enjoyed visiting Weston Park Museum. While we were baking here these children were learning how to survive in the Ice Age at the museum and building an igloo!  There was a picnic in the park and kwik cricket back at school.

Today we have used much san tan lotion in Stratford thanks to a truly scorching day. The whole group has done really well and packed a lot in. We finished up with refreshing ice lollies in the shade before coming back to the youth hostel for some rest time before our evening activities in Stratford - the play park and stories of the town!

This morning the RSC workshop was brilliant and enjoyed by all.  The children were working on Henry Vth in preparation for watching Prince Hal in the RSC Swann Theatre tomorrow morning.  It was a perfect day for a picnic on the river trip and we saw a heron and ducklings and cygnets.  The visit to Shakespeare's birthplace was very interesting and we enjoyed and joined in with the impromptu acting!   The staff were delighted when the manager of the shop told th staff that the children are 'a credit to the school.'  He is right - it is a pleasure to be sharing this special time with them all!

There will be deep sleep again tonight!  In Sheffield too, by the sounds of it after another active day for this group; Breakfast out, baking, badminton and boule too on a beautiful day! :)
