We have a connection with 2 overseas workers who are based in Mae Sot, Thailand.  Kelli and Stephen Spurlock manage volunteer teams who go to work in the refugee camps on the Burma/Thailand border.  They also provide hygiene packs for the camps when these are donated by a USA organisation.  Kelli and Stephen live in a district where there are many refugee families living together. They have a lot of interaction with the local children and with an orphanage called Heavenly Home. This orphanage is the home of a Thai couple who have taken in 48 children who were living on the streets.  Money donated from our Autumn 2011 sponsored walk has provided a good toy box both for the orphanage and for Kelli and Stephen's own home where they frequently engage with the children.  Kelli and Stephen have even started their own growing club! We also provided a good supply of nappies for Heavenly Home. Thank you for making a difference for Kelli and Stephen in their work and for these children in Thailand.
