51 Year Four pupils, enjoyed a ‘WET’ fun filled week at The Oakes!

The children enjoyed three days and two nights away on their residential. The rain did not prevent the pupils from taking part in a wide range of activities. Some pupils perfected their precision skills with a bow and arrow on the archery activity, whilst other pupils enjoyed the physical challenge of the climbing wall. Many brave pupils took on the Low Ropes challenge, completing a circuit of challenges off the ground, involving walking along a rope whilst their feet were submerged in very cold water and travelling at great speed down the zip wire. Laughing, screaming and shivering could be heard, as the children completed their Raft Session, travelling on a body board down a slide into the cold water. The warm showers were always appreciated! Between all of the fun, the children engaged themselves with the RE Christianity Curriculum, taught in an interactive way by the staff at the centre. All of the pupils were fantastically well behaved and were a great asset to Dore Primary School.
