Breakfast Club

A very vibrant and successful Breakfast Club has been operating since September 2011 in Dore Old School, only a few minutes walk away from Dore Primary.

It is run by by an experienced mother, who is a fully qualified nurse/health visitor. Three other similarly qualified mothers assist with the safe and happy running of the Club. All the staff are fully insured, DBS checked and first aid trained etc.

The Breakfast Club operates every day that Dore Primary School is open and exists only to serve the needs of parents with children at that school.

We cater for children from new starters/Reception up to and including Year 6/ school leavers.

Children can be dropped off at 7.00, 7.30 or 7.50am each morning and starts as early as 6.30am can be accepted by prior arrangement. To add further flexibility for parents, we also offer an ad-hoc service where children already registered with us can be dropped off at very short notice should child/staff ratios allow.

Children attending the Club enjoy a great range of activities some of which include free play, craft, drawing, painting, board games, reading, play dough, table tennis and some 'circle' time. A healthy and varied breakfast catering for all dietary needs is served before the very short and easy walk to school by supervised 'walking bus'. All key stage 1 children are taken directly to their bases and helped to settle in each day until new routines become familiar.
