Dore Parents Association

Dore Parents Association (DPA),  is a registered charity which raises money for the benefit of Dore Primary School.

Fundraising is ongoing throughout the year, including events such as, the Parents Quiz Night, Summer Fair & Raffle, numerous Bun Sales, Brew Army and the annual Fun Run. All monies raised contribute hugely to the quality of our children's school life, and offers the opportunity for school to purchase items that otherwise the school budget would not be able to stretch to.

In the last few years the DPA have purchased i-Pads, reading books, new production lighting as well as helping to reach the fundraising target for the new outdoor classroom and climbing wall in the junior playground.

We welcome all parents to be a part of the DPA, either by joining in the activities organised, donating their time or items wanted for a specific event.

Corporate Match Funding

Match funding has the ability to increase the funds from our school fundraising events many times over.

An increasing number of large companies operate a match funding scheme whereby they match charity fundraising undertaken by their employees.

At last years summer fair 3 parents who all work for HSBC secured a total of £3000 in match funding which was in return for their time they volunteered during the event.  What a a fantastic addition to our fundraising total.

These organisations set aside millions of pounds to fund such schemes and are more than happy to support their staff in raising money for charities of their choice.  The amounts donated range from £250 to £1000 + per employee per event.

Dore Parents Association is a registered charity so we are in a position to benefit from such schemes and your involvement, however big or small at future fundraising events.

If your employer offers a match funding scheme, please contact Beki Daws, Treasurer of our Parents Association so that we can see how to comply with their requirements.  Please email dorepafinance@gmail.com
