When choosing an immersion activity for the story of Goldilocks we had a few choices:
  • steal a bear's breakfast
  • break some chairs
  • go to sleep 
  • make porridge
In the end we went for the latter option.  The children enjoyed making (and particularly tasting) the porridge and added their own preference of honey and/or raisins!  I was very impressed with how sensible the children were around hot pans and hobs and no-one complained that the porridge was too hot or too cold- it must have been just right.
