We have spotted some up and coming actors and actresses this week as the children performed the Diwali story of Rama and Sita, enhanced with their very own, hand-made props and masks.

We spent all day Thursday getting our masks ready for Rama (the prince), Sita (the princess), Ravana (the deamon king), and Hanuman (the flying monkey). We made trees for the woods where Rama and Sita get banished to, swords ready for the almighty battle and even a chariot for Ravana to capture Sita and steal her away. We also made some beautiful diva lamps, which we used to guide Rama and Sita home after the battle had been won.

The children were amazing!
