This week we have been learning all about Diwali .  The Hindu festival of light.
We Were lucky enough to have Arun's dad come in and tell us all about Diwali. He explained what the festival is all about and how they celebrate it. He showed us all a video of his family and Arun celebrating Diwali with fireworks!

Arun kindly brought in some sweets for every child to celebrate Diwali with him.

The children had a go at doing mehndi patterns, Some children used the hand template and some chose to draw round their own hand.
We were amazed at the beautiful patterns they all did.

The writing task this week was to see if they could recall information about Diwali and record it.
