In maths we have been learning to divide numbers by 2, 3, 5 and 10. We have used the vocabulary 'shared by' to help us work out the equations. E.g. 15 ÷ 3 =  '15 apples shared by 3 people':

Why not try some division equations at home? Or click on these links for some interactive division games: http://www.topmarks.co.uk/Flash.aspx?f=sharingv2 http://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks1/maths/division/play/

We have also learnt that division is the inverse operation of multiplication which means we can write out a fact family for x and ÷ e.g:
3 x 4 = 12
4 x 3 = 12
12 ÷ 3 = 4
12 ÷ 4 = 3

Play on this game to practise at home: http://www.topmarks.co.uk/number-facts/number-fact-families
