Welcome to Y1!

We've had a fantastic week and it's been so lovely seeing the children starting their Y1 journey's! The children have been super resilient coming into the classroom by themselves - a BIG thank you to all parents and carers for your help with this.

We begun the new year with an assembly to teach the children all about the different areas of the classroom and how we use these. All the teachers and teaching assistants have been so impressed with how responsible the children have been as a result! We have some awesome tidiers too!

The children also played classroom bingo to help them get to know their new space...

We've had some great challenge and choosing learning going on too in all the areas of our classroom!

We've also seen some brilliant learning happening at the tables too which has certainly impressed Miss Farrell, Miss Hague and Mrs Wells - we can't wait for more of the same next week too! We might even be lucky enough to do some exciting outdoor seasonal change learning... watch this space!

The Y1 welcome sheet (a paper copy went home today) is attached below. It contains useful information on how things work in our year - though please remember if you need any additional information, we operate an open door policy after school so please feel free to pop in and speak to us directly!
