A wonderful week in Y3...

In maths, we are continuing to explore division and using lots of different apparatus to support our learning. We used the Cuisenaire rods to represent the repeated subtraction method visually before moving onto drawing our own number lines to calculate.

In English, we were so proud of our diary entries that we just had to share them with each other! The children read their entries in pairs and gave feedback to each other, picking out key phrases that were particularly effective. We also had the Y6 children come and join us for a shared reading session.

A highlight of the week was the Y3 talent show. We were blown away by the variety and the enthusiasm of our performers. From performing penguins to dancing Spiderman, we really had an entertaining afternoon!

Finally, the wintery weather has provided lots of opportunity for outdoor fun. Have a look at the pictures of us enjoying being creative in the snow this week.
