Roman Day!

Today was the last day of our Veni, Vidi, Vici topic and we have enjoyed a fantastic Roman day.

The day began with making our Roman shields and it was brilliant to have so many parents and family members come along to give us a hand. Thank you for all of your help!

In maths, we looked at Roman numerals and completed a carousel of activities to develop our understanding of the different symbols.

This afternoon, the fun continued as we explored some real artefacts which we have loaned from a museum and we tried to guess what each of the objects were used for during the Roman times. Then, it was time to put our shields to use and try out some different army formations before noisily invading the rest of the school!
