Soup-er stuff

Year 5 have had a super morning preparing the vegetable soup recipes they have written. Although supported by some parents and other adult helpers, the children worked very well in their teams to create interesting soups from raw ingredients.

They really needed to think about their cooking and organisation skills, to ensure the food was ready and was as tasty as possible.

The recipes were varied and appropriate and the children  calculated and measured quantities very well.

Everyone agreed almost all the soups tasted great. One or two need re-thinking and all of them can be improved upon. So, it is just as well we will be revisiting the soups in a few weeks to make another perfect batch that will be availabe for sale!

Thanks to all the adults who helped - we couldn't have done it with out you.
