Aztec Writing

As we have been learning more about the Azetcs, children have begun to turn their attention towards using this knowledge in our writing. In Literacy, children have been exploring what is an effective paragraph structure. After some deliberation, it was decided that effective paragraphs need a mixture of description, action and dialogue (among other elements) to keep the reader engaged. We also decided that paragraphs were even more effective when they started with a fronted adverbial to help give the reader a sense of cohesion. Hopefully, you can see these different elements in the examples below:
