Caribbean Carnival

To add to our learning and develop a better understanding of Caribbean culture, we held our own Caribbean Carnival.  This did coincide with the coldest day of the winter, so we made sure the heating in the hall was turned up high!

Children choreographed and performed their own carnival dance and took part in a limbo competition.  Then, as a year group, we ate the Caribbean food children had prepared for each other.  This was done brilliantly, with children waiting patiently to collect their food, and trying some dishes they might not normally have been able to.  Thanks to Shardae for bringing in some Caribbean bread to share with the year group - this added to the balanced meal.

A fantastic afternoon!
