Literacy:

Click here for the link to today's English lesson where we will be starting our new Book Study novel: Friend or Foe, by Michael Morpurgo.  There are a number of comprehension questions to answer and two character mindmaps to complete.

Maths:

Science:

Click here for today's foundation lesson: Science. Join Mr Mills as we begin our unit on Light and How We See. Today we will conduct a simple experiment to show how light travels; children will require a light source (e.g. a torch or the LED light on a phone), some cardboard from your household recycling and some scissors to complete the experiment. Children should record their findings as three diagrams.


Reading:

All children to read for at least 20 minutes each day. This could be a school reading book or a personal book from home. There are online books available at Oxford Owl, register for a free account by clicking this link: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/user/sign_up.html


Spellings:

Please click here to find this week's spellings. There is a daily activity to complete, in addition to the practise you would normally do at home, followed by a dictation test on Friday. The test audio is embedded in the powerpoint but is also attached to the bottom of this post in case it does not play correctly.
