Literacy:

Click here for the link to today's English lesson. In this lesson, we look at use of descriptive language and write a descriptive paragraph inspired by the Blitz.

Maths:

Click here for the link to today’s maths lesson: Divide decimals by integers.

The worksheet and answers for today’s lesson are attached to the bottom of this post.

Design and Technology:

Click here for today's foundation lesson. Join Mr Mills as we look at the classic wartime recipe 'Lord Woolton Pie'. Children will adapt the recipe to write the ingredients section for their own take on this timeless dish. I am hoping that, if possible, parents will be able to support children in cooking this delicious dish next week.

Reading:

All children to read for at least 20 minutes each day. This could be a school reading book or a personal book from home. There are online books available at Oxford Owl, register for a free account by clicking this link: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/user/sign_up.html

Spellings:

Please click here to find this week's spellings. There is a daily activity to complete, in addition to the practise you would normally do at home, followed by a dictation test on Friday. The test audio is embedded in the powerpoint but is also attached to the bottom of this post in case it does not play correctly.

Mrs Dungworth's Book Corner:

Mrs Dungworth has recorded herself reading 'Goodnight Mr Tom' by Michelle Magorian. The first instalment can be found here so settle down somewhere comfy and enjoy.
